Kristi Kohut’s vibrant, playful work drips with colors and textures inspired by nature’s beauty—geodes, butterflies, prisms, and sand. Drifting on a spectrum between boldly earthy to brightly shimmery, her mixed-media pieces often employ disparate materials, like glass crystals with watercolor.
In addition to selling her highly sought-after work directly to collectors online, Kristi opened the doors to Kristi Kohut Studio – a brick and mortar gallery and studio space in 2018. Additionally, she exhibits her work at select fairs and pop-ups including Scope Miami, the Affordable Art Fair in NYC, as the Artist in Residence for the grand opening of Batch/Hudson Yards in NYC, on the Kelly Clarkson Show and more. Named one of the “7 Next-Big-Thing Artists” by Elle Decor magazine, Kristi and her work have also been featured in Forbes, Architectural Digest and more.
In a conscious move to transform the way we engage with fine art, Kristi’s established Hapi Art in 2014 - an art and lifestyle brand - in order to offer not only original pieces, but also statement-making prints, textiles, pillows, wallpaper and poufs created from her original artwork and fully customizable for collectors.
